I missed last week so I’m back with some of my favourite Pinterest Picks for this week. This weeks theme is all around bicycles. I love to ride my bike and I’ve really missed it this past week as the weather has been just to icy for me to get out and about. I’m also working on a design for pannier bags and I should be able to show you the final product in a week or so!
Anyway, on to this weeks picks
Just a quick one for today but I wanted to share this photographer with you all. Rachel Keenan is a young photographer based in Glasgow and her pictures are absolutely stunning. Please check her out here.
Here are some things I’ve been falling in love with on Pinterest this week, oh to be a millionaire!
First up, who doesn’t love Orla Kiely? I am no exception to this and I am so in love with her prints, designs and clothes. This week I began a fairly strong love affair with this sweet jumper. I love the colours and style, just not the price tag.
Next I have to share another Beatles print. I love the iconic image and great use of colour in this.
Finally another thing to add to the never ending “To Make” list
This week I’m recommending an all round great website called Glasgow PodcArt. This website celebrates all of the creative industries. However their main focus is the local music scene. What I have been loving about this site this week is the shop local at Christmas campaign they have been supporting. This is something you may have seen doing the rounds on social media but essentially it is a campaign to encourage people to buy their Christmas gifts from local businesses and sole traders online rather than the massive global companies it’s all so easy to buy form. The idea is that if we buy from small traders everyone will have a great Christmas this year.
So here we have my week 3 picks, man I love this website!
First up is this great little milk jug. It has just the right balance of purpose and design aesthetics for me.
How about this stunning paper art? I love it! It has real echoes of Jim Lambie.
I love the style of these photographs. The filter makes everything look dreamlike and fantastical.
Finally, this charming wee shoe advert.
So I’ve made it to week 2! Here are some of my favourite pinteresting things from last week.
First up this week we have this lovely poster featuring lomography cameras. Cameras are beautiful objects and I love to see them displayed like this.
I’ve tried my hand at embroidery once or twice and it’s always ended up a bit of a mess so I am utterly astounded when I see beautiful pieces like this, when I think of how much effort has gone into it I am in awe.
This is a gorgeous use of embroidery hoops and felt. It’s given me so many great ideas too!
Hmmm…there seems to have been some colour coordination this week, they all look so lovely together!
